About the Role

Travel: Travel is encouraged. We would like you to accompany the sales team to gather testimonials, objections, and core pain points.

This is a 3-month freelance position, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role.

The Farmer Marketer will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that connect with farmers, agribusinesses, and stakeholders in the regenerative agriculture ecosystem. This role requires a deep understanding of agricultural communication, digital marketing, and content creation to position InPlanet as a trusted partner in the Brazilian farming community.
This is a high-impact role where you will combine storytelling, content marketing, and digital strategy to engage farmers and promote Enhanced Rock Weathering as a sustainable and profitable agricultural practice.
The Impact you can make
  • Educate and empower farmers by creating compelling content that translates complex agricultural science and the benefits of ERW into accessible and actionable insights.
  • Expand InPlanet’s farmer network by building relationships with key stakeholders in Brazilian agriculture.
  • Boost lead generation and adoption by designing campaigns that encourage farmers and agribusinesses to integrate Enhanced Rock Weathering into their operations.
Core working relationships
  • Marketing Team: Collaborate on digital marketing strategies, content creation, and social media outreach.
  • Sales & Partnerships: Work closely with the business development team to convert farmer engagement into long-term partnerships.
  • Scientific & Agronomic Experts: Translate technical research into accessible content for different farming audiences.
  • Operations & Field Teams: Gather insights from on-the-ground interactions to improve messaging and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement content marketing strategies targeting farmers and agricultural businesses.
  • Create and distribute multi-platform content, including blog articles, social media posts, podcasts, videos, and newsletters.
  • Optimize content for SEO and searchability, ensuring InPlanet is discoverable by farming communities.
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns that promote Enhanced Rock Weathering as a regenerative agriculture solution.
  • Manage InPlanet’s presence on digital channels relevant to Brazilian agribusiness, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and specialized farmer networks.
  • Engage with the farming community through webinars, podcasts, field reports, and online forums.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate and nurture leads from digital campaigns.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) and continuously optimize campaigns for better engagement and conversion rates.
  • Monitor key events related to farmers and identify where the team should be to engage with them.

Core Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years in content marketing, digital strategy, or agricultural communication.
  • Experience in the agribusiness sector in Brazil, with knowledge of farming challenges, trends, and stakeholders.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with experience in multi-platform content (text, video, podcasts, social media).
  • SEO expertise, with experience using Google Search Console, keyword research, and optimizing content for searchability.
  • Ability to work across cross-functional remote teams.
Key Qualities
  • Passion for regenerative agriculture and sustainable farming solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into digestible content for farmers.
  • Data-driven mindset with an experimental approach to digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
Bonus Points (but not essential)
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics, with hands-on experience in tools like Meta Ads, Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms.
  • Experience in sustainable agriculture or remineralization practices.
  • Previous work with startups or climate tech companies.
  • Familiarity with social media tools.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (comfortable with downloading and light editing) using Figma, Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
