About the Role

Are you passionate about hands-on fieldwork, contributing to sustainability, and supporting innovative agricultural practices? Join InPlanet as an Infield & Sampling Associate, where you’ll play a critical role in assisting with experiments, data collection, and operational activities that drive our Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) projects forward.
You’ll support the science and operations teams in executing field experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth project implementation on farms. Your work will directly contribute to advancing sustainable farming practices and creating measurable environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
Fieldwork Assistance:
  • Support scientific and operational teams in the setup, operation, and maintenance of field experiments and projects.
  • Assist with the installation and supervision of equipment for sampling and monitoring.
Sample Collection & Documentation:
  • Perform accurate collection of soil samples according to established protocols.
  • Maintain thorough records of research activities, sample data, and equipment maintenance to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
Project Execution:
  • Assist in executing operational protocols for ERW projects at the farm level.
  • Travel regularly to farm sites within the region to provide hands-on support for project implementation and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with farmers and team members to ensure protocols are followed and goals are achieved.
Equipment Maintenance:
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance of research equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy in experiments.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues with equipment and escalate more significant problems when necessary.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with science and operations teams to align field activities with project goals.
  • Act as a liaison between field operations and other teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow.

  • Previous experience or education in agronomy, environmental science, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience in fieldwork, data collection, or equipment handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.

  • Reliable, organized, and adaptable to diverse environments.

At InPlanet, our philosophy revolves around ensuring fair and unbiased compensation and equitable equity pay, coupled with competitive benefits, across all regions where we operate.
The reason behind our salary range being wide or undefined at the first stages of the interview is because of our international presence and globally distributed workforce, we utilize geo ranges to account for varying pay differentials, forming a crucial part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive across diverse markets as we expand our reach.
These ranges are determined by role, level, and location, recognizing the nuanced demands of each market. The actual base pay for the selected candidate is influenced by factors such as location, skills, experience, training, business requirements, and market dynamics, with the range subject to potential adjustments in alignment with our commitment to fairness and transparency.
