What we are looking for

Research Scientist – Innovation in Plant Cell Biology (Permanent position; CDI)

We are seeking a passionate and innovative researcher to join our “Innovation team” and contribute to advancing plant tissue culture techniques. The successful candidate will design & conduct research for internal and customer projects aimed at exploring new technological approaches & implement technological developments in a larger-scale operational context. A Ph.D. in a related field, demonstrated expertise in plant tissue culture, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of science are essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to independently plan, organize, troubleshoot and optimize operations to ensure timely high-quality deliverables.

This position reports directly to our CTO and our tissue culture scientific lead, and also needs to work effectively and collaboratively with the “Production team” and the “Molecular biology team””.

Qualifications and key skills

• PhD in plant science or plant biotechnology
• 5+ years of experience in plant tissue culture
• Excellent knowledge in plant tissue culture (Initiation | Regeneration | Micropropagation | Somatic Embryogenesis) ideally on coffee or other perennial plants (grapevine, cacao, citrus…)
• Strong innovation mindset
• Good organization & communication
• Team player, strong execution, and flexibility to handle changes
