The role

As R&D Manager you will head our innovation efforts in reducing methane emissions from agriculture. This pivotal role combines expertise in animal science and organic chemistry to drive product development, from initial research through to regulatory approval and commercialization. You will lead our R&D team, ensuring compliance with scientific and regulatory standards, and fostering partnerships for pilot studies and large-scale production.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of research projects, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and compliance standards.

  • Work closely with the CEO, CTO, and CRO to foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and operational excellence.

  • Ensure regulatory and scientific compliance and guide the team through the complexities of regulatory frameworks

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies, ensuring all potential risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively

  • Lead the charge in identifying and developing new products and technologies that address the critical challenges in the Agritech

  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the Agritech sector. This includes overseeing the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  • Act as a central figure in coordinating efforts between different departments, ensuring the integration of animal science and organic chemistry perspectives in our projects.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

  • PhD or MsC in Animal Science, Agricultural Science, Biotechnology or a related field.

  • Proven track record in managing R&D projects, with a deep understanding of both animal science and organic chemistry

  • Experience in the agricultural sector, particularly in relation to sustainability and emissions reduction, is highly valued

  • Exceptional skills in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects and using project management tools and methodologies

  • Solid experience in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks within R&D projects.

  • Strong analytical abilities and a meticulous approach to problem-solving and project execution

  • Excellent communication abilities, with proficiency in English. Swedish skills are considered a plus

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation and driving results in a fast-paced environment

  • Great leadership skills, able to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
